CEP - USAH Coaching Clinics

Omaha will be holding several CEP Clinics this year.  The first of which will be a LEVEL 4 on August 19-21 .  All information will be posted to www.usahockey.com when available.  Please check the coaching section for updates.

Other USAH Coaching Education Program (CEP) news:

  • Coaches may attend only ONE (1) certification clinic per year.
  • Level 1 and 2 certifications are valid for only one season.
  • Level 3 is valid for two seasons.
  • Level 3 MUST BE RENEWED within 2 years and MUST be done on-line (cannot attend another L3 clinic).
  • Coaches must attend a Level 4 clinic after six seasons of being certified at Level 3 (2 online re-certifications allowed).
  • Coaches of Tier I and II 14U, 16U, and 18/19U National tournament-bound teams must complete Level 4 in their fourth season of coaching.
  • Levels 1, 2, and 3 will all be 8 hour classes with on-ice sessions.
  • Coaches must also complete online age-specific training module specific to the level of play they are coaching (5 hour online module).
  • May complete more than one module in any given season.
  • USA Hockey and all District requirements are standardized.
  • Coaches will have access to a virtual CEP card printout from the online certification list. No more plastic cards or stickers handed out.
  • All certifications for clinics and Modules will be automatically printed on your USAH Rosters.
  • Coaches must have valid certification AND age-specific module completed by January 1 of the current playing season.
  • Any coach not in compliance with all requirements will be ineligible to coach for the remainder of the season.
  • Coaching clinics and age-specific modules are available only between September 1 and December 31.

Given the changes in the program, it was important to have a L4 clinic in the area. There will be more clinics offered this season. OHC will host a Level 1 for certain and probably a Level 2 or a Level 3 (possibly both). Lincoln and Fremont may likely host a clinic or two as well.

For the latest in clinic information, please visit www.usahockey.com, and look at the list of clinics offered in the “Coaches Section”.
