Online Payments – New for 2011-2012
Last season we introduced the online registration process but did not offer any online payment options. This meant that after completing the online registration process, you still had to print out and complete a payment form and mail it to us in order to finalize your registration.
This year, we are adding the convenience of online payments to the registration process. All participants will be required to select a payment option during the online registration process. The available payment options are Visa and MasterCard (both traditional credit cards and check/debit cards will be accepted), Discover, and PayPal. More information about the online registration process will be available on the Registration tab on our website during the week of July 11th.
Travel players and Midwest High School Hockey League (MHSHL) Jr. Varsity and Varsity players
Players interested in trying out for the Jr. Lancers Squirt through Bantam AA or A teams or the MHSHL Jr. Varsity / Varsity teams must first register as a House League player and must select one of the House League payment options when completing the initial registration process. Then, once the travel teams have been selected and team budgets have been finalized, travel players will be required to select a secondary payment plan in order to cover the difference between their house league fee and their travel fee. Detailed information will be provided during the first parents’ meeting before the season begins.
What about players who do fundraising or have corporate sponsorships?
Players who are planning to take advantage of fundraising or corporate sponsorships will still need to select an online payment option to cover 100% of their registration fees. Then, instead of applying a credit to the player’s account for fundraising or corporate sponsorships, OHC will write a check directly to the family for the amount equal to the proceeds from the fundraising or corporate sponsorships. These checks will be distributed in a timely manner at the conclusion of each fundraising effort.
What about players applying for hardship assistance?
Players applying for hardship assistance will need to contact Gilinda Giles directly in order to complete an offline version of the registration process and to establish an approved payment schedule.
