2012 Mite March Madness - Gretzky Division Champions - The Capitals
The Capitals are the 2012 Mite March Madness - Gretzky Division Champions.
On 18 March, the Capitals won their way into the championship series with a hard fought win over the undefeated Redwings in the first game of the day.
The Blackhawks then came out on top of the Redwings to determine who would face the undefeated Capitals in the final series.
The Capitals squared off against the Blackhawks at 12:00pm needing just one win to claim the championship. The game came down to a last minute goal that gave the Capitals a one point lead and the win.
Congratulations to the 2011 - 2012 Capitals !!!!

Capitals go 2-0 in first round of Gretzky Bracket of Mite March Madness
The Capitals came away with their first of two wins on Tuesday night by defeating the Predators 9-3 in regulation play.
Their second win came against the Blackhawks, after outscoring them in a shootout following overtime play in a real nail biter.
The Capitals go into the second round of play undefeated, and will play again on 18 Mar, at 8:00 am, just one win away from the championship game.
