Other Information:

All games will be three 12min stop clock periods, with 1:30 minor penalties, and 5min majors. In the 3rd Period if there is a difference of 5 goals the clock will run only stopping for goals, penalties, or injuries. Players or coaches receiving a game misconduct penalty will be suspended for the next game and will leave the ice. Also any player receiving 5 penalties in a game will be awarded a game misconduct.

During Round Robin Play:

The winning team will be awarded 2 point,s and in the event of a tie both teams shall 1 point and no points for a loss. At the end of Round Robin play all teams will be seeded based on points for the final games.

During Final Games:

All rules apply from Round Robin with the exception that if a game is tied at the end of regulation both team will select three skaters for a shoot out. If the teams remain tied after the three players it will then go into sudden death shoot outs.

JOUST WEEKEND - GREAT OMAHA SHOWING

March 5th, 2012

The SPRING JOUST is over and all of the Omaha Jr. Lancers made a great showing during the course of the weekend. This includes the SELECT BLACK TEAM capturing 1st Place, and SELECT ORANGE with 3rd Place. Way to go everyone, the games were played hard and something OHC can be very proud of.

The Squirts would also like to congratulate the Mite Select team that played in the Squirt Division during the JOUST. You all did very well proving age and size does not beat heart and desire. Your 4th Place finish is also yet another reason for OHC to be very proud of the programs we have for all of our players.

Lastly, a special thank you goes out to all of those that lived at the rinks from 5am until well after their teams were done playing just to be sure they were there to help. We would not have been able to do this without you. There was so much that was done behind the scenes no one will every truly know what you gave up to get everything done - THANK YOU!

CONGRATS AFTER A BIG WEEKEND

CONGRATS TO EVERYONE

Feb 19:

This weekend was a very exciting and busy weekend for everyone in the squirt division and I would like to congratulate everyone on a great weekend of playing and good sportsmanship.

In our HOUSE 3 ON 3 the teams showed up to play challenging each other and providing everyone a great final game that ended up like a movie heading into a shoot out. The Green Hornets were able to pull out the win against the Blue Tunder but both teams should be very proud of themselves - as should all of our house teams.

In Select both teams had a busy weekend against tough opponents in each of their brackets. The Black Team was able to pull through their bracket and after facing the same two teams multiple times during the weekend and they pulled out 3rd place. The Orange Team was also able to place in thier bracket at 2nd Place facing off against some repeated competion from earlier in the season. Great Job to both teams we can not wait to see your hardward on display at the rink as we finish the season.

Overall I am very proud of the entire squirt division for their outstanding effort so far this season and can not wait to see how everyone does at the eand of year NHL Tournament.
